Motorcyclist Arrested After High Speed Chase In Tehama County

A motorcyclist led Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies on a very high speed chase from Red Bluff to Corning Wednesday. 21-year-old Scott Van Gundy reportedly fled from deputies in a chase that went on for 18 miles at speeds exceeding 111 miles an hour. The chase ended at around 3:30PM when Van Gundy crashed the Kawasaki Ninja off the Corning Road offramp while trying to avoid colliding with a car. He was uninjured and is in Tehama County Jail charged with evading police with wanton disregard for public safety.
