After a pursuit of a motorcyclist had already concluded in Tehama County, a man was arrested walking away from the scene. Sunday evening a deputy saw the motorcycle traveling at high speed near Monroe and Walton in Red Bluff. The deputy attempted a traffic stop but the motorcyclist sped up, riding westbound on Highway 36 at more than 100 miles an hour. Other deputies joined the chase along with Red Bluff Police and the CHP. The rider shut off his taillights near Basler Road and officers lost sight of him. They spotted him again on Cannon Road and he fled but lost control and laid the bike down, then took off on foot onto a nearby ranch. A search was done with a K9 but the rider wasn’t found. After the motorcycle was towed, Jeremiah McNeely was found walking down the road. He was treated for injuries and then booked into jail for felony evading.
