Motorcyclist Who Sped Away From Officers Twice In One Day Sentenced To Prison

A 28-year-old Anderson man has been sentenced after two pursuits in one day in Corning. On May 13th a Corning Police Officer saw that Nickolas Byrd was riding a motorcycle with expired registration and tried to pull him over. Byrd sped away and escaped. Later in the day the officer saw him again and chased him. Byrd reached speeds of more than 130 miles an hour before he was apprehended. He’s been sentenced to 2 years in prison.
