Race car drivers will try to break 18-year-old speed records at Shasta Speedway this Saturday. The blistering speeds of the super modified will be the warm up races leading up to the main event. That’ll be the Shasta 150, part of a West Coast Tour of Nascar 650 horsepower stock cars. Gates will open at 3 O’clock with practice runs at 4PM, followed by qualifying and time trials. Fans can meet the drivers during an autograph session at 7 O’clock, and then the action heats up for the super modified’s and the Big Shasta 150. Tickets are at shastaspeedwaytix.com.
