Redding Fire Department’s brand new state-of-the-art ladder truck was used on a structure fire for the first time Sunday. It was a well involved garage fire on Platinum Way. The crew of truck one was assigned to roof ventilation. Nobody was injured and the fire was contained to the garage, although much of the house sustained smoke damage.
