New Text Messaging System Goes Live For Shasta County Law Enforcement

An automated system is being adopted by Shasta County law enforcement to keep crime victims and other reporting parties informed. The 9-1-1 caller will get a text message when an Anderson or Redding Police Officer or a Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy is dispatched to their incident. It’s called “SPIDR Tech” and it goes live Tuesday. It also will send a survey after the investigation is complete to gauge the public’s satisfaction.
