Two new judges have been appointed to Shasta County Superior Court by the Governor. One of them is Ben Hanna, a veteran prosecutor who worked in the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office from 2001 until earlier this year when he got a job with the State Attorney General’s Office. The other new judge is Kathryn Barton, who’s been a public defender for 30 years, most recently as the Shasta County Assistant Public Defender. It’s not yet been determined when the two will take their places on the bench.
