Trial dates have been set for Tyler McCain. He’s accused of the murder of his wife, Nikki Saelee McCain, to prevent her testimony against him for domestic violence. It’s the first time a murder trial has been held in Shasta County without the discovery of a body. Tyler did not waive the right to a speedy trial. His lengthy preliminary hearing ended with him ordered to answer to all charges. Tuesday he entered not guilty pleas again and future dates were set. A settlement conference is on November 3rd, with a jury trial set to begin November 18th.
