NPU: Chico Man & His Mother Arrested For Conspiring To Sell Drugs In Redding

Redding Police arrested a Chico man and his mother for conspiring to sell Cocaine. Officers from the Neighborhood Police Unit located 22-year-old Joshua Thammakhanty during a traffic stop on Tuesday. Thammakhanty was wanted on a warrant after failing to complete a probation transfer request from Butte to Shasta County.During a search of his residence, police discovered around 2 Ounces of Cocaine in his mothers bedroom, along with evidence suggesting drug sales. His mother 42-year-old Christina Chea resided at the home, and officers say an additional 3.9 Grams Cocaine was found in her vehicle. Further evidence indicated that Chea and Thammakhanty were conspiring to distribute Cocaine in the Redding area, according to police. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy, and they are currently booked in Shasta County Jail.
