NPU Makes Two Arrests For Drugs During Traffic Stop

Redding Police arrested two people on drug charges after a traffic stop late last week.On August 9th NPU Officers spotted a vehicle that was tied to a recent investigation. Officers pulled the driver over and say they spotted a large quantity of narcotics in plain view. A search of the vehicle uncovered 5 bags of Fentanyl and one container of Meth. 34-year-old Shawnathon Haley and 26-year-old Alyssa Brooks were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail. Brooks had a felony warrant and was extradited to Lassen County where she will face her pending charges. RPD says Haley was also arrested by the NPU on July 16th for charges related to narcotics and false impersonation.
