Nurse Jailed After Alleged Relationship With Inmate At Tehama County Jail

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office says a nurse who provided care to inmates in the county jail was providing one inmate with more than just medical care. On Thursday authorities were tipped off that the nurse, 31-year-old Annica Pagenkopp, may have been involved in an intimate relationship with one of the prisoners. Pagenkopp is employed by the Tehama County Health Services Agency, which has a contract with the jail for medical care. Detectives determined that she was involved in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate and that she had engaged in sexual activity while on the job. Pagenkopp was booked into jail with bail set at $100,000.
