A nurse who provided care to inmates in the Tehama County Jail has been sentenced for giving one inmate more than just medical care. In February authorities were tipped off that the nurse, 31-year-old Annica Dawn Pagenkopp, may have been involved in an intimate relationship with one of the prisoners. Pagenkopp was employed by the Tehama County Health Services Agency, which has a contract with the jail for medical care. Detectives determined that she was involved in an inappropriate relationship with an inmate and that she had engaged in sexual activity while on the job. Pagenkopp has been sentenced to 150 days in jail and 2 years probation.
