After eight days of testimony in preliminary hearings visiting Judge Thomas Bender has ordered that Tyler McCain will be held over for trial in the murder of his wife, Nikki, who’s body remains missing. On Wednesday data from her cell phone showed the last time it pinged was at her home on Olinda Road in Happy Valley on May 18th. Detective Kilee Holroyd also testified that Tyler attempted to deposit a check meant for both him and his wife at the Tri-Counties Bank on May 29th. But the bank rejected the deposit because it only had his signature on it. He later returned with her signature on it, but the prosecution showed evidence that the signature was forged. There was also evidence shown including burnt credit cards and a cell phone found less than a mile from Tylers home. He is set to return to court for arraignment on October 7th.
