A wanted man tried to get away from Redding Police on a bicycle Wednesday night. At around 6 O’clock an officer saw 38-year-old Aaron Day of Shasta Lake City riding a bike on Mistletoe Lane knowing he had felony warrants, the officer tried to stop day, who fled down Penn Drive and into a greenbelt. Officers chased him through the woods and into Lawncrest Cemetery, where Day was taken into custody after a struggle. Police say he had a loaded 9 millimeter handgun and Methamphetamine that they believe he intended to sell. He was booked into jail on several charges along with his warrants.
