The North State Stand Down to help homeless and needy veterans had to be canceled by organizers this year but an abbreviated one day substitute will happen in a couple of weeks. The Shasta County Veterans Services Office and United Way are partnering with around 60 other service organizations for a Veterans Resource Fair at the fairgrounds in Anderson on Thursday the 16th from 8am to 4pm. Anyone who wants to learn about services available to veterans is encouraged to attend.
