Parolee Arrested After Several Burglaries In Red Bluff

A Red Bluff man has been arrested for a couple of commercial burglaries. Last Thursday an employee of Prime Cinemas on Main Street arrived to discover a break-in. Cash register drawers were on the floor, but they had been empty prior to the break-in. There was damage in a back office room and someone had punched a hole in the wall to access the manager’s office. The place was vandalized, but all that was missing was some food and beverages. The security camera had been destroyed but video surveillance was recovered from the hard drive. On Tuesday an employee of H&R Block on Walnut Street arrived to find a window had been broken next to the entrance. Someone had left cabinets open but nothing of value appeared to be missing. Wednesday police learned that some of the stolen goods were found in a room at the Best Value Inn on South Main Street, where parolee Paul Armstrong was staying. He reportedly admitted to the thefts and was arrested.
