Corning Police say a man led them on a chase after a hit-and-run crash on Monday. Officers responding to the Solano Street crash were told that the suspect vehicle was a gold colored pickup truck with a lumber rack. When an officer spotted a matching pickup outside city limits and tried to stop it, the driver intentionally rammed through a fence to try and get away. The officer drove along the roadway tracking the pickup until losing sight of it. A short time later it was spotted again and chased for about 20 minutes in and out of Corning, damaging several fences and starting a small grass fire. Eventually the truck, which turned out to be stolen, crashed on Rawson Road and was disabled. Jesse Charles Keisner complained of neck and back pain. He was booked into jail on a long list of charges.
