A student suspected of tobacco possession was arrested on Friday morning after a loaded gun fell out of the teens waistband, according to Redding Police. Around 8:45AM Friday morning Redding Police Department’s School Resource Officers were called to Enterprise High School when staff, investigating a report of a 14-year-old student possibly possessing tobacco, witnessed a loaded 9MM handgun fall from the student’s waistband. School staff immediately detained the student, and officers arrived shortly afterward. The student now faces charges, including carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a firearm on school grounds, and being a minor in possession of a concealed weapon.
