Power Restored To Nearly All PG&E Customers After Monday’s PSPS Event

Electricity has been restored for the vast majority of the 7,876 Shasta County PG&E customers whose power was cut off Monday for a public safety power shutoff. The outages were done in many areas of the county stretching from west of Ono to northeast of Big Bend due to gusty north winds, low humidity and high temperatures. Customers were previously notified of the possibility. The remaining outages total a little over 200, mostly in the Round Mountain area. The utility says all customers should be restored by Noon Tuesday. A total of 9,444 customers lost power in Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Glenn and Colusa Counties. Line inspections began at 1:45PM Monday afternoon and will continue with first light Tuesday morning.
