The General Plan for the City of Redding is in the process of being updated, and the city would like some input from the people who will be affected. The General Plan is a broad, comprehensive, long range guide for future development. The update is only done every 20 years, so this is a document that will carry weight well into the future in terms of land use, public health and safety, community and economic development, public facilities, transportation, environmental issues and much more. The city has put together a survey that they hope will be completed by people of various age groups and walks of life. The General Plan survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and can be found through May 20th at cityofredding.org/generalplan.
