Officials at Dignity Health say that the first birth of the new year took place at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Malia Hobbs was born to Mariah and John Hobbs of Red Bluff at 12:40PM New Year’s Day, and weighs eight pounds, seven ounces. Mariah is an employee at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, and Diginty Health says that they are honored to be part of such a special moment and are excited to celebrate the beginning of 2025 with the arrival of Malia.
