Redding Bids Farewell to City Manager

Friday is the last day on the job for Redding City Manager Barry Tippin. He’s retiring after working for the city for more than 20 years in various roles. Tippin is a Redding native who was first hired as a Civil Engineer and moved on to become Municipal Utilities Director, Transportation and Engineering Director, Personnel Director, Electric Utility Director, Assistant City Manager and then City Manager in 2017 after the retirement of Kurt Starman. Assistant Steve Bade will serve as Interim City Manager until a permanent replacement, which could be him, is given the job.
