A Redding man was arrested on New Years Eve for eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, and communicating with a minor with lewd intent. In November of last year, the Shasta County Sheriffs Office received information regarding a male suspect who had been sexually abusing a child. The Major Crimes Unit identified the man as 24-year-old Daymon Wallace of Redding and a felony arrest warrant was issued on December 18th. On Tuesday Wallace was arrested without incident at his residence on Eagles Nest Road, and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
