Redding Police have reported a couple more drug busts from Thursday…
Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit says they’ve made another fentanyl bust. Officers did a probation search at the Stardust Motel on Pine Street. 36-year-old Jessica Caitlin Zolnay reportedly tried to hide one-and-a-half ounces of fentanyl on herself, divided into six separate bags. She was booked into jail on $25,000 bail for possession of drugs for sale.
A Round Mountain man was arrested in Redding after a police K9 alerted on his car. A little before 10:30 Thursday night, 38-year-old Patrick Joseph O’Connor was pulled over on East Cypress Avenue. He had no driver’s license and, after Lido the K9 indicated that drugs were present, a search was done. Officers reported finding methamphetamine, paraphernalia, ammunition and a loaded gun, which O’Connor is prohibited from having due to a prior gun-related felony. He was booked into jail on $25,000 bail.
