Redding Rodeo Hall Of Fame Inaugural Class Includes Former Shasta County Sheriff

The Redding Rodeo Association is establishing a Redding Rodeo Hall of Fame to coincide with the 75th annual Rodeo Week next month. A special steak dinner event will be held to induct the inaugural class on May 16th at the Rodeo Grounds. Ticket information is at reddingrodeo.com. The first set of inductees includes John Balma, a storied figure who was a founder of the Sheriff’s Posse and was also County Sheriff for nearly 40 years. Also included are Pete Lambert, Ralph and Jeannie Mors, PCRA specialty act John Payne, World Champion bull rider Lane Frost and the world famous bull Red Rock.
