Redding’s Annual “Coats For Kids” Program Underway Now Through December 14th

Keeping children warm is the goal of the City of Redding’s 22nd annual Coats for Kids Program. Through December 14th, new and gently used children’s coats, as well as hats, gloves, scarves, sweatshirts, jackets and vests are being collected. New underwear and socks are also needed in all sizes. The items should be wrapped in waterproof plastic bags, clearly marked “Coats for Kids”, and left on top of residential blue recycling bins on regular garbage collection days for the City of Redding. Items can also be dropped off at the Transfer Station on Abernathy Lane, at City Hall, at REU off Airport Road or at any Redding Fire Station. All the donations will be given to the Good News Rescue Mission for distribution on December 15th.
