Redding’s Official Christmas Tree Arrives In Downtown

The holiday season has officially kicked off in Redding with the arrival of the city’s annual Christmas Tree. Early on November 10th, Redding Electric Utility workers, with help from local partners including VIVA Downtown and Headrick Logging, harvested a 95-foot White Fir from along Highway 44. After trimming it down to 75 feet, they transported it to the heart of Downtown Redding. The massive tree now stands tall at Market and Yuba Streets, ready to bring holiday cheer to the city. On December 6th, join the community at 3PM for the Kool April Nites Classic Christmas Car Display, leading up to the highly anticipated tree lighting at 7PM.
