Registered Sex Offender Arrested After Break In At Red Bluff Middle School

At least there were no children around when a sex offender broke into a Red Bluff School, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. Wednesday night deputies were sent to Berrendos Middle School after a burglar alarm was triggered. They were searching the campus when they saw 34-year-old Christopher Kentopp leaving one of the buildings. He’s a registered sex offender who’s currently on felony probation for robbery. Deputies say he had items on him that he had stolen from inside the school, as well as a concealed fixed-blade knife. Kentopp was booked into jail for the burglary, the knife, the probation violation, and for being a sex registrant on school grounds.
