Rescue Group Will Care For Puppies Seized From Shingletown Man

Wolf dogs being held at Haven Humane Society will be handed over to a rescue group. A litter of seven puppies are from a pack owned by a Shingletown man. The wolf-dog hybrids had been roaming free in the Lake McCumber area and are believed to be responsible for at least one fatal attack on a neighbor’s pet dog. As the adult animals await a dangerous dog hearing, a litter of seven puppies produced by the pack are being handed over Thursday morning to Apex Protection Project, a national wolf rescue group. They’re currently trying to find homes for the pups.
