Employer Who Sexually Assaulted Teenage Employee Sentenced To Prison

A local employer has been convicted on charges of sexually assaulting an underage employee. In August of last year Redding Police Detectives arrested 53-year-old Jesus Ramos-Maldonado. A teenage girl eventually quit her job at a West Redding mexican restaurant after two months of being sexually assaulted while she was working. After his arrest, Ramos-Maldonado admitted to detectives that the allegations were true and that he knew the girl’s age as well. Ramos-Maldonado made a plea deal on charges of lewd and lascivious acts on a child of 14 or 15-years-old in exchange for a sentence of 2 years 8 months in state prison. He also must register as a sex offender.
