Retired Red Bluff Police Lieutenant To Appear In Court On Stalking Charges

A former Red Bluff Police Lieutenant charged with stalking his ex-wife has failed to appear in court. Daniel Wayne Flowerdew was due in court last Monday for an arraignment but didn’t show up. His appearance was reset for Monday. Flowerdew was arrested in May of last year near an Anderson home where his ex-wife was staying. She had an emergency protective order against Flowerdew, who had allegedly broken a window and was in possession of lock picking tools, pepper spray and handcuffs. He was arrested but wasn’t charged until March of this year. Flowerdew retired from the Red Bluff Police Department in 2015 after it was determined he could no longer perform the job due to multiple shoulder injuries suffered while grappling with suspects in the course of his 27 year career in law enforcement. Flowerdew is not currently in custody.
