A former Red Bluff Police Lieutenant has a Shasta County court appearance Monday on stalking-related charges. Daniel Wayne Flowerdew was arrested in May of last year near an Anderson home where his ex-wife was staying. She had an emergency protective order against Flowerdew, who had allegedly broken a window and was in possession of lock picking tools, pepper spray and handcuffs. He was arrested but wasn’t charged until last month. Flowerdew retired from the Red Bluff Police Department in 2015 after it was determined he could no longer perform the job due to multiple shoulder injuries suffered while grappling with suspects in the course of his 27 year career in law enforcement.
