A drama unfolded on Interstate Five in Colusa County Thursday night and continued into the early hours of Friday morning. A 9-1-1 call was made at 5:37PM from someone who said they and another person were on the shoulder of Southbound I-5 north of Delevan Road. They had been left there after being shot while inside a car. One of them had apparently been the driver and the shooter had left in the car. The CHP spotted the car in the Williams area and tried to stop it but a chase began, ending when a spike strip disabled the car south of the Dunnigan Rest Area. The CHP says the driver, 31-year-old Royer Delgado of Sacramento, took off running but was quickly captured. Another shooting victim was found in the car with life threatening injuries. The freeway was closed until 3:30AM Friday morning.
