Somebody was shot by Redding Police Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened near the intersection of East Cypress Avenue and Lowden Lane at 4:26PM. Cypress Avenue was closed to traffic as an investigation of the shooting began by the Shasta County Officer Involved Critical Incident Response Team. Anyone with helpful information is urged to call them at 245-6130. No details have been released, including about the condition of the person who was shot.
