A Sacramento man was arrested for causing a disturbance with a gun in East Redding Friday evening. Officers were called shortly after 6 O’clock to Hartnell Avenue just south of the Cobblestone Center on reports that 42-year-old Renardo Andrew Brown had a gun and was causing trouble. When he saw the police cars, Brown reportedly ran and was chased on foot, then resisted arrest when he was caught. During a search of the area where he was chased, officers reported finding a Glock 27 handgun. It had what’s called a “sear switch”, which enables it to be a fully automatic assault weapon. Brown was treated at a hospital for injuries received during his capture, then booked into jail.
