RPD Arrests Wanted Felon From Washington State At Downtown Bus Stop

A Washington State man was taken into custody by Redding Police Monday as he arrived in town on a bus. Police in Kent, Washington had advised the RPD that a wanted violent felon from their city was riding a bus bound for Sacramento that was going to be stopping in Redding. 23-year-old Alex Tredway had an arrest warrant for several violent felonies and had priors for fighting with police. Officers were waiting for him as the bus pulled into the station. Tredway saw the officers approaching and quickly got off the bus and took off running. He was caught after a short foot pursuit. He’ll be extradited back to King County, Washington.
