Redding Police have caught up to a 22-year-old man accused of threatening people with a gun. On Sunday afternoon officers were called to the south end of Palisades Avenue off Hilltop Drive. An investigation concluded that a fight had occurred and Daniel Ooms had pulled out a handgun, which he used to make criminal threats against the others in the fight. Ooms had apparently fled prior to police arriving, but they kept looking for him. On Monday Ooms was found at a home on Riverside Avenue and he was booked into jail for brandishing a gun, criminal threats, battery, possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of a switchblade knife.
