Redding Police conducted a minor alcohol sting Monday. It was a “Shoulder Tap” operation targeting customers outside liquor and convenience stores. The underage decoy asked people if they would buy alcohol with the decoy’s money, telling them it was because of age. Between 4PM and 8PM an unnamed number of people were approached and two of them agreed to make the purchase. The penalty is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours community service.
