A series of collisions on South Market Street Sunday afternoon were witnessed by several people and a surveillance camera. The footage from the Fast Stop Gas Station shows a Volkswagon station wagon rear-ending an older Ford pickup in front of the Good News Rescue Mission. The Volkswagon then made a wide U-turn into the gas station and collided head-on with a car at the pumps. The Volkswagon driver mashed the accelerator and pushed the other car a few feet, then shifted into reverse and backed away, colliding with another car and a pedestrian. Bystanders then removed the driver from the car and police arrived soon after. They say 25-year-old Evan Hall had a blood alcohol level almost four times the legal limit.
