A man who was supposed to be banished from an East Redding home is accused of threatening the lives of several members of his family last Wednesday night. 45-year-old Bouachanh Phetchamphone had been ordered by the court to stay away from the Oxford Road home. Officers responded to reports that he was there, was armed, and had threatened to shoot people, including a 9-year-old child and elderly family members. When patrol officers and the crisis intervention response team arrived, they say Phetchamphone was walking aggressively toward them down the middle of the street while cursing at them. When he didn’t follow their orders, officers used a K9 and other less-lethal methods to take him into custody. After being treated by medical personnel for injuries sustained in his apprehension he was booked into jail, where he remains this morning on $50,000 bail.
