The Redding Police Department is ramping up efforts to keep the streets safe. On Friday officers conducted a DUI saturation patrol, leading to five arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The initiative, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety, aims to reduce DUI-related collisions and protect lives. Redding Police reminds residents that additional patrols will be out for New Year’s celebrations. They urge everyone to drive responsibly or use alternative transportation.
