An area of South Redding was flooded Tuesday after a car hit a fire hydrant, sending a geyser of water into the air. There were multiple 9-1-1 callers reporting the collision near Eastside Road and Wyndham Lane. Down the road from the hydrant, police found the wrecked car and its driver, 34-year-old Felicia Roberts. She was arrested for causing a crash while driving under the influence. She had a puppy with her; neither of them were injured. Roads were closed until the water dissipated.
