A man driving an all-terrain vehicle on South Redding streets crashed and injured his two young children, according to police. A little after 9 O’clock Thursday night officers were called to Westwood Manor. Witnesses had reported a new Polaris RZA side-by-side all-terrain vehicle rolled over on Meadowbrook Drive at Kimberly Drive. They said a juvenile had been ejected and was lying in the roadway until the driver pushed the ATV upright, paced the child inside and drove away. Officers stopped the Polaris a couple of blocks away. It was occupied by 41-year-old Arturo Arellano-Machado and his two children, ages 3 and 6. The kids had abrasions and one had a possible concussion. They were taken away by ambulance. Officers found Arellano-Machado to be intoxicated and he was arrested.
