RPD: Odd Behavior At Redding Store Leads To Drugs, Weapons Arrest

A Redding man is facing multiple charges and has had his guns taken away after an investigation that started last Saturday evening when he was reportedly harassing people in the parking lot of Tractor Supply. Redding Police responded to the business off Twin View Boulevard on reports that 50-year-old Alexander Peterson was acting oddly, shining a flashlight at people, and refusing to leave. He said some strange things to the responding officers, including that someone had planted white powder in his truck. He was arrested for public intoxication and his truck was searched. Officers reported finding two loaded guns, 3 baggies of Cocaine, MDMA, and Adderall. Peterson holds a CCW permit, which is now under review. After he bailed out of jail, police got a search warrant for his home in Gold Hills on Wednesday and reported finding 21 Grams of Cocaine, over 400 Anabolic steroid vials and pills, hundreds of other pills and evidence of drug dealing. They also found 28 guns, including tactical rifles, most of which were apparently not legal to possess.
