A minor alcohol sting operation done by Redding Police and State Alcohol Beverage Control Wednesday resulted in a rare arrest of one target. Officers used a decoy for a shoulder tap operation, during which an underage person approaches customers outside liquor and convenience stores and asks them to make a purchase with the decoy’s money. The penalty is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours community service. Between 11AM and 3PM the decoy approached 28 different people, and only one allegedly agreed to make the purchase. 62-year-old terry Mack Grissom is on probation and was searched. Officers reported finding Pepper Spray, Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Grisson was booked into jail, where he remains Friday morning.
