A contact with a pedestrian led to a gun charge by Redding Police. 42-year-old Raymond Dempsey was detained while walking in South Redding, and apparently gave the officer a fake name before his identity was discovered and it was learned that he’s on probation for felony domestic violence. That led to a search during which officers say they found an unregistered un-serialized “Ghost Gun” with features that define it as an assault weapon in California. Officers say he also had a ski mask, though the implications of that are not known.
