Redding Police Department has promoted a woman to the rank of Captain for the first time ever. Regan Ortega has 19 years of law enforcement experience, having started with Red Bluff Police before being hired by Chico Police and then spending the last 10 years with the RPD. She worked in several divisions in the department as she moved up the ranks.
