Being allegedly in possession of drugs and a loaded gun combined for additional charges against a man pulled over Tuesday night by Redding Police. 29-year-old Justin Schmidt was stopped for vehicle code violations near Terrill and Veda Streets, and had no driver’s license. Officers say he had Methamphetamine, as well as a 45 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number, three loaded magazines and a box of ammo. Schmidt allegedly admitted to being a drug addict, leading to charges of being an addict with a gun, possession of drugs with a gun, concealed weapon in a vehicle and more.
