A complaint of loud music led to the discovery of two illegal weapons Monday afternoon, according to Redding Police. Officers contacted Paul Castaneda and Katie Barbee at an apartment on Azoulay Court off Victor Avenue. Castaneda is a convicted felon currently on searchable probation for DUI, so officers searched their apartment. They reported finding a short barreled 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition and a 38 caliber revolver with the serial number scraped off. Castaneda was arrested for the shotgun, and Barbee for the pistol.
