Shareholders are suing the franchise owner of 18 Subway sandwich shops that were shut down January 24th without warning, even to the more than 100 employees. Minority shareholders Lori and David Howland say they had invested $1.5 Million in the venture, but then were shut out when they tried to look into the operations. The suit names the other two Delight Foods investor couples Farzad and Marikit Sabet and Steven and Rosa Ahrens. The allegations include misappropriation of assets, and the plaintiffs are seeking a civil jury trial in federal court. The closed restaurants have since reopened.
